In order to develop the cooperation of the national coordination points of the qualifications frameworks of the Baltic countries on issues of implementation of the European and national qualifications frameworks (NKS), in 2023 May 30 In Druskininkai, the annual meeting of the national coordination points of the Baltic countries’ qualifications frameworks took place. The meeting this year was organized by the Qualifications and Vocational Training Development Center (KPMPC).
The participants of the meeting presented the current affairs of the NCS and national qualification systems, changes in related legal acts. The representatives of KPMPC presented the latest qualifications formation initiatives, changes and achievements of the reform of the competence assessment system, implemented international projects “Recognition of transferable competences throughout Europe” and “Strengthening the cooperation of institutions coordinating the activities of sectoral expert councils in the Baltic States”. Estonian representatives introduced the skills classifier and its electronic services, the profession classifier. Latvian colleagues presented the register of qualifications managed by AIC and new projects dedicated to the topic of higher education qualifications. During the meeting, the prospects for the development of the NCS were discussed, the situation of the implementation of micro-credentials in the Baltic States was reviewed, the synergy of the Europass portal, European and national qualifications framework information, and the guidelines for further cooperation were discussed.
In 2024, the meeting will take place in Estonia.
